Jason Robert Bauer (b. 1986) is an American artist whose practice seeks equanimity through the expansion of consciousness. His work is an ongoing investigation of intuitive processes and technical rigor, aimed at cultivating mental, physical, and spiritual experiences. Employing mediums such as glass, light, sound, and time, Bauer explores the transformative potential of material and perception, inviting viewers into a state of contemplative engagement.

In 2018, Bauer and his partner Romina Gonzales Bauer co-founded J & R Bauer Inc., a fabrication studio specializing in glass. They subsequently launched The Third Rooom, an online design brand and conceptual store dedicated to bridging the natural and the divine by transforming spaces into sites of presence and purpose.

Bauer’s work has been exhibited at Fort Makers, The Assemblage, Lorimoto Gallery, The Bitter End, and Bowery Electric in New York City, as well as the Chrysler Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, and the Toledo Museum of Art. He has participated in artist residencies at STARworks, the Pittsburgh Glass Center, and the Penland School of Crafts, among others. His work has been featured in publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Dwell, Design Milk, and Sight Unseen.
